What are your hours of operation?  8:30am-4:45pm with after care option from 3pm-4:45pm for Pond Cove students K-2

What is your teacher to student ratio?  1:10

Can I be involved in my child's classroom?  At String Bean Farm School we believe in the importance of family involvement.  We encourage you to take an active role in your child's education but unfortunately volunteer opportunities have been placed on hold due to the pandemic.

Do you have COVID 19 policies and procedures in place? Absolutely a copy of our policies can be provided upon request.

Do you have a parent handbook?  Yes a copy can be provided upon request.

Is your program year round? Yes, but our summer is filled with weekly themes, activities and fun you would find at summer camp. 

Do you observe holidays? Yes, we observe the following holidays New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day (closed the Friday before, and the Tuesday/Wednesday after Labor day for professional development, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving (closed on Thanksgiving and the day after) , Christmas Eve, Christmas and the day after Christmas. We also close for parent teacher conferences in the spring.

 

Do you have snow days?  Yes, we have the same snow day closures as the Cape Elizabeth School system. If they are closed due to inclement weather we are as well.

What animals will my child be exposed to? Each child's classroom has a classroom pet. We also hope to get new chickens in the future.
